New Baby Parrotlet

Hi everyone!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

I've been busy making art and having lot's of fun. I'll share some pics soon.

We just adopted a new baby parrotlet. Her name is Chloe and she's 2 months young. She's simply toooooo cute and comical. I'll tell you more about her in my next blog.

Here's a pic of her. I'll be taking better pics as soon as I can. I'm working full time now, which normally includes Saturday and Sunday. I find myself juggling most of my time to complete everything I want to fit in a day.

I wanted to sell my art, but with my time limitations now I don't know if that will happen right now or later on. Anyway, here is a pic.

Here are the pics I promised. These are some of the creations I was playing with. I made an art journal with my painted fairies and girls. I now have to bind them with some pretty string (after punching holes in them) and hand write my entries in them.... Enjoy!

Busy As A Bee

Hello there chickadees,

I hope you all had a great summer....

It's been a little bit since I last posted--I've been busy, busy, busy. Aside from life and work, I've been making art--I've made some personal collages and paintings and have just been having a blast. I plan to make some new pieces and sell them on-line within the next few months. If you look at my flicker pics on this page you'll see some of my previous needle-felt work featured as cake toppers.

In a couple of days I'll post some pics of some of my personal pieces of art work.

Some Latest Creations

Hello friends,

I thought I'd show a few pics and some of my latest creations--enjoy.....

This was my first layout I did a while back with a pretty pink girl I found, while surfing the net....it has a handmade paper flower (I just adore making flowers), and vintage millinery. She has some sparkle on her hair and the bird has tons of sparkle as well...





This is a card of a little girl I drew and colored, after receiving a little inspiration from some of my favorite stamps....then embellished with sparkle and vintage flowers....she's not perfect, but I was just playing with ideas....



...and this is a large tag as a sign for the door to my "playroom". This also has a handmade paper flower as well as a handmade crochet flower and vintage glitz and millinery...



I've been art journaling, drawing, collaging, and coloring as well---too much fun all this playing.......I love it!!!

Surprise Gift From Hubby

Hello there in Bloggerland!

Just wanted to share a pic of the new speakers my hubby gifted me. He came home with this little surprise and set it up for me in my art studio.

He sure does know me....it's pink and it has a retro look.......

I think I'll keep him another 21 years or so......tee-hee



Now I just need a Hello Kitty mouse pad.........

Scrapbooking Pics and Scrap Candy

Hello Sweet Friends,

I've been working on some layouts and tags, so I thought I would share a few with you. However, first I'd like to share with you my recent hauls at Michael's and Ollies, (what I call my "scrapping candy")...so much fun shopping......enjoy the pics....



This is a tag with a victorian style pic of a cute little cupid that I altered.





I wasn't able to join the "Rush" with my Bloggerette sisters, so I posted my layout on my inspiration board. I used my hand made paper flower made with vintage millinery, as well as other left over embellishments I had.

Peek at Home Pics

Hi ladies,

I've changed my blog, except for the header. I'm having trouble with Foto Flex. I should be able to get into Foto Flex some time today or tomorrow. In the meantime, here is just a peek at my home pics to enjoy. I tried to keep them in order, but since I have soooooo many pics and I work with two different pic programs, it was a little difficult to keep them in order..Well, here goes....

New Name

Hi all,

I wanted to share an update with you--I'll be renaming my blog. I've recently started to get more serious about my art and decided to start an art blog. I will no longer have my personal blog--it will now be one of the same.

I'll be sharing my art as well as art journaling, and my home pics and such. I'll be informing the sorority soon.

Finally, A Decision And Some Pics

Hi Ladies,

I finally made a decision on my background and header for this blog. I think I like this for now. I'll probably change it in a few months as the Holidays approach.

Anyway, I hope you like it. I wanted to be more creative, but I'm doing too many things at once and I don't have the time right now.

Here are some pics of one of my favorite shops here in PA. Since I have soooo many pics, I'll show you the inside of this shop tomorrow.

As soon as I get some time, I plan on learning how to do a collage of pics so they won't take up so much space. If anyone knows how to do this, please let me know.

Also, please feel free to share anything else you think might be fun to learn.

I just fell in love with the color of this pictcher.

Just a few pickings from T.J. Maxx--aren't you crazy about that shop?

I just had to pick this up--it says "Delight in the beauty that surrounds you." I like to display sayings around my home that mean something to me and inspire me to enjoy life, be thankful to God, and be creative.

This is my lovely lady bust I had my eye on for a while and I finally picked her up. She's from one of my favorite antique shops. She looks beautiful in our bedroom.

This plaque was a Goodwill find and it was gorey looking rust, green and mustard color and I spray painted it white, of course.

Still Working on Blog

Hello Ladies,

Just thought I would update you a bit about my blog. I'm still working on the header for this blog and I will post new pics and comments within the next few days--I've been really busy.

I've finally started doing some paper art and scrapbooking (not so much with large albums, but mini albums, art journals, and other paper crafts). I prefer to have my large journals hold textiles and momentos that remind me of the event and not take too much time designing a page (I'd rather take that time for my mini albums, paper crafting and other projects). If I accumulate pictures until I have time, they will have to wait a while and it will just get to be a real chore instead of something fun.

I'm also working on some ideas of delicious follies I plan to post on my business blog, and my shop (as soon as I create them)---so many plans and so little time.

Anyway, I'm off to work now. I'll write in a few days with pics and stories of my shabby chic hauls (for those of you who don't watch You Tube, that just means my shabby chic finds).
