Closing Blogger Page

Dear Friends,

I hope you all enjoyed your summer!

As for me, I have been way too busy.  I can't seem to keep up with my blogger page and I don't like feeling the pressure of it all.  Which is the reason for my decision to close my blogger page.

I don't know if I'll decide to start blogging again at some time in the future, but for now there are other things in my life that have to take center stage, which I have been neglecting.

I thank you all for sharing my art journey with me and hope that if and when I start blogging again I can have the privilege of your company once again.....

A Great Book Read

Hello lovely ladies,

I hope you are all enjoying your summer.  I have tons of blog talk but have been pretty busy, so I'll just comment on the last book I read called The Chance by Karen Kingsbury .  It's an inspirational book that inspires Godly love, forgiveness and hope.  In my opinion she is a very good writer.  I had never read her books before, but I will gladly read another.

This is a great book for summer reading.  Pick up this book and you won't regret it.............

What Am I Reading?

I'm currently reading a book that my niece-in-law owns and she was kind enough to let me borrow it.  It's called The Chance by Karen Kingsbury.  She is a Christian author and my niece highly recommends her books.

Books For My Collage Journals

I've been doing a lot of collage journaling lately.  These are some of the books I use for my collages.  I get my books and magazines at Barnes and Noble, thrift shops, discount shops,thrift shops, discount shops, and libraries--just about anywhere I can buy them or get them for free.

Bible Journaling

Hello beauties,

I thought I'd share some pics of the outside of my KJV Journaling bible by Barbour Publishers.  I've marked my bible for a long time and have studied His word most of my life, but when I found out that there was a bible that gave me plenty of room to write in my notes and personal thoughts about God and scripture, and at the same time I would be able to express it with art, I couldn't resist. 

I will say that at first, I was a little apprehensive to create art in the Holy Scriptures, but as I prayed about it and researched what a blessing this process could be I decided to go for it.  Although, I don't feel comfortable creating overly "messy" artwork in my bible.  I can do this in any of my many art journals.

It has been tremendously rewarding.  As you create an appropriate art piece to describe the verse or your thoughts about it, you are also processing and digesting His message as it has an opportunity to saturate your being.

Here are some pics of the outstide of my journaling bible.  As you will see I made a little art piece with a quote I found on Pinterest that says "Ruin your Bible to heal your heart."  I pinned it in my pinterest account if you would like more info on the writer.  This quote has been inspirational to me during this process.

What Am I Doing?

Hi everyone,

As you have probably noticed I haven't been keeping up with my blog lately.  That's because I've been having lots of fun playing with my instrument making music.
 
Making music is fun and fulfilling but takes time and commitment to make progress in your skill, so I haven't been doing much of anything else (except working, exercising, and going to church).

Anyway, this is where I'm at right now.

Here's a pic of my violin and my flute which I have been loving.  I'll post other pics of my other instruments later on.
